Moms’ Recipes is a cookbook by Lily Goldberg and Leia Ciocola honoring our mothers, their mothers, and so on. We wanted to explore the nature of sharing recipes and domesticity, which has a strong association with the women in our lineage. Through the screenprinting process and hours of hand-sewing, we wanted to lean into craft and intent just as our grandmothers had when writing these recipes.

The book is 5”x 8” and uses ink on fabric bound together into a book format. We wanted to use non-traditional materials and binding that, on its own, shares traditional sentiment.
